Virtual Security Academy 2024

Duke's Virtual Security Academy is a monthly virtual learning session hosted on Zoom. This year's presenters are internal IT staff who will cover fundamental security concepts.

VSA occurs the third Thursday of each month (except December) and is hosted from 3:00-4:30 pm. Currently scheduled topics are:

• 08/15/2024 - Phishing with Gaylynn Fassler
• 09/18/2024 - Teens and Tech with Shelly Epps (Wednesday session!) 
• 10/17/2024 - 1Password, Password Managers, & Duke Unlock with Jay Gallman and Jeff Allred
• 11/21/2024 - IOT Devices at Home, Automatic Updates with Sam Naim
• 1/16/2025 - Multi-factor authentication (MFA) with TBD
• 2/20/2025 - Mobile Device Security/Privacy & Automatic Updates with Catarina Pottle and Keith Stouder
• 3/20/2025 - Box Permissions & Least Privilege with John Shaw and Tim Chilton
